Back in 2009, only 27.2% of Scotland’s electricity came from renewable energy sources. It was 90.1% in 2019.
The Scottish government has set a target of having the equivalent of 100% of Scotland’s electricity demand coming from renewable energy sources by the end of 2020….The PM said: “As Saudi Arabia is to oil, the UK is to wind – a place of almost limitless resource, but in the case of wind without the carbon emissions and without the damage to the environment.
“We’ve got huge, huge gusts of wind going around the north of our country – Scotland. Quite extraordinary potential we have for wind.”

Scotland is not a leader in anything, except repressing personal political opinions.
After their useful life has ended, the excessive expense to recycle them means that Batteries will create mountain of toxic waste. Oil has problems too, but they are arguably easier to remediate or prevent through better planning and innovation.
The egotistical think they can control the temp of the earth to .5 degrees even though CO2 makes up .04% of the atmosphere. Getting tired of the psychopaths intentionally killing the economy with the Covid scandal to reduce CO2 which is part of the plan for the great reset. Let the market decide the best form of energy not taxes & incentives
