July 24, 2020 | Is the Pandemic Part of a Bigger Cycle?

Earlier this year, I showed you how our war cycles are experiencing a major “convergence” for the first time in over fifty years.

Here’s another cycle you’ve probably never heard of …

The Pandemic Cycle

Pandemics tend to break out when the climate turns cold and dry. We’ve seen this to be true with the seasonal flu, the common cold and now with COVID-19.

But this latest pandemic is relatively mild, historically speaking. We can expect far worse in the coming decades.

Why?

Because according to renowned cycles expert Dr. Raymond Wheeler (1892-1961) — who created the Drought Clock from tree ring data, weather records, locust plagues, historical records and more …

… we’re heading into a drier and — believe it or not — cooler climate.

These periods of history have almost always led to civil wars, recessions (or depressions) … and major pandemics.

In fact, the Greenland Ice Core Project reinforces Wheeler’s research:

Not only does it show a 1030-year climate cycle that predicts the rise and fall of major civilizations …

This data comes from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. The blue line indicates temperature, while the red arrows mark temperature peaks delineating large cycles of averaging 1030 years (although there can be variations in cycle length).

It also shows a stunning correlation with the outbreak of pandemics in the cooler, drier periods …

While there isn’t necessarily a direct link between climate and health …

… when the social mood is most negative, civilizations tend to crumble and disease sets in.

Today, we’re closer to a climactic peak than a trough. (And the current peak could be extended due to the warming effects of modern civilization). Nevertheless, the Earth has a habit of culling the population on a regular timetable.

And as an investor, you can offset the economic effects of pandemics like COVID-19.

And that’s what I’m helping my Wealth Megatrends subscribers do during one of the greatest financial upheavals since the Black Plague across Europe at the beginning of the Little Ice Age. If you haven’t joined yet, check us out here.

All the best,

Sean
