I think the blockchain technology should begin serving a purpoose at the time when any electronic device is purchased. With that in mind, could we argue if the blockchain technology gave buyers of battery-powered devices a chance to choose which company will get the right to recover that battery and recycle it? Despite the fact that a dump to recycle a used battery (which a client may choose to give to AMY in the blockchain at the purchase point) could be located far from the “beneficiary”, the recycling depot could at least think of a location to transfer those used batteries for a fair market value. Cannon sells ink cartridges that include a prepaid shipping order that can be used to get the used item back to Cannon through a párcel service. It works for both Canada and the USA.
