December 1, 2017 | Why Hydro Electricity is a Futuristic Climate Solution

Stewart Muir is founder and executive director of the Resource Works Society, a Vancouver-based group open to participation by British Columbians from all walks of life who are concerned about their future economic opportunities. He is an author, journalist and historian with experience on three continents including a financial editor of The Vancouver Sun responsible for mining and markets coverage. Since Resource Works was established in 2014, the group has gained international recognition for its practical approach to the public challenges of responsible natural resource development and use.

To reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, Canada must commit to building a vast amount of clean energy infrastructure. That’s why projects like Site C are critically important.



Canada is pursuing the ambitious goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 80 per cent from 2005 levels, by 2050. For this to be successful, a vast amount of clean electricity capacity has to be created.

Projects like Site C are part of the solution. Site C is a good example because it is using the world’s most advanced technology to create lasting, low carbon electricity. This video tells the story of the cutting edge Site C turbines and generators, worth nearly half a billion dollars:
