Rick is another fresh breeze of common sense. I have had many of the same experiences, made the same observations, and come to the same conclusions as he has.

I read the other day that San Francisco, in order to avoid policing their sidewalks and appearing mean, is using robots (like the home vacuum cleaner) to keep the “homeless”, i. e. bums, moving along. The homeless are covering the sensors, knocking over the robots, urinating on them and, in some cases, spreading feces on them. I wonder how much that is costing the kind and compassionate residents of the city. Rick can be sanguine about the need for and future of real humans.
