White Rock Issue: Run-away development is happening — City Hall and City Council have become a rubber stamp for developers! … current regime is anti-ordinary person ! … irresponsible spending of taxpayers dollars by City to block the taxpayers right to know about City decisions on acquisitions (water system purchase) and expenditures—why is the City not in compliance with the Privacy Commissioner’s order to disclose full information? City should focus on filling potholes and collecting garbage ! Isn’t that its mandate? What’s really going on? … makes one wonder doesn’t it? …..

This is one of the most clear and comprehensive explanations of the water utility I have ever heard. Cuts through all the fafflegarb and smoke and mirrors the city has been trying to confuse the taxpayers with . The pipes will cost millions and millions of dollars to replace ($50-60 million or more). The replacement program has been put on hold since the city purchased the utility yet they have $20 million to spend on a park and parkade (which will sit empty ,most of the year). Corporate priorities are build for tourists and to heck with the residents that live here.
