The man who organized the “alt right” demonstration in Charlottesville to protest the removal of statues of Confederate and other Southern leaders, until last year, was an avid Obama supporter. He also has a long history of organizing protests and demonstrations in support of progressive, socialist causes. The violence began when the “alt left” demonstrators, who did not have a permit as opposed to the “alt right” demonstrators who did have a permit, attacked the “alt right” demonstrators with homemade flame throwers, baseball bats, urine filled balloons and other devices. The police did NOTHING, as ordered by their political leaders, to try to stop the violence. Are neo-Nazis bad? Why of course but so are people who initiate violence. It sounds like Mike is upset that the President did not consult him about which words to use in his comments about the incident.

As far as the business councils go, who cares? Most are using the excuse that they left because they don’t want to be involved in politics. That is laughable. They have armies of lobbyists and lawyers to protect their interests. Some jet around to states injecting themselves into debates on issues of spending, marijuana legalization, gay rights, transgender rights, and school children’s bathroom usage but I suppose they are apolitical. Richard Trumpka, the head of the AFL-CIO who left one of the councils, used to be the head of the United Mine Workers. After he moved up the food chain he suddenly went green and advocated ditching coal, thereby putting many of his former brothers out of work. He must not be political either.

As far as Trump criticizing the FED, I have heard many educated people criticize the FED. Hell Mike, I even have heard you criticize the FED. We have gone over eight years without a recession so we are due. Let’s not blame it on Trump until it happens and you can point, specifically, to actions he took to cause it.
