There is NO instrument in the Constitution allowing for succession. Ask the military if they think it would be a good idea to divide the states from their perspective. Hawaii separatist? Don’t make me laugh Rivero. I use to ride a bus from Waimanalo to downtown everyday with a bunch of REAL Hawaiians who lived in the Homelands project there. All tough working class people and there opinion of the “Hawaiian separatist” was supreme contempt. They were embarrassed if any of their kids bought into that crap as considered most supporters to be dumb ass pakalolo smokers. So who are the separatist? The local Japanese, who run the political establishment or the local Chinese, who own most of the private land in Hawaii? Oh ya, I forgot to include the 10% haoles who control most of the money behind the scenes. I’m not even going to count the Polynesians, native or not, they make up a totally insignificant % of the population. Heck, there’s probably more Philippinos then them. Since fully 1/2 of the economy is the military, and corporate tourism makes up the other half, and all the money to be made is catering to these to entities and the business they spin off, just exactly what is Hawaii going to do to stay afloat after they exit? What? The US is going to keep their military there? In a secessionist state? What? Tourism is going to make up the difference? How’s that working out for Jamaica? You, and other Bozos like those fools in California, really haven’t thought this through have you? Just stupid BS.
