“I became a good pitcher when I stopped trying to make them miss the ball and started trying to make them hit it.”
~ Sandy Koufax, retired baseball pitcher.

Last week, markets began rolling out the Q2_2015 earnings parade for S&P500 companies.
Sadly, too many investors are still fretting over the much anticipated earnings reports.

However, earnings are not the primary focal points for wise investors.
The business prospects companies provide for Q3_2015 and beyond are by far the best guide.

That outlook will be the driving force for renewed market optimism or continued worries.
So, become a better investor and start focusing on the important centre of attention.

You can pour over the corporate releases if you want.
Ensure that you focus on their future guidance before anything else.

Look for prospects

Not all companies provide guidance of what the future may hold for them.
Prospects like these, especially if unexpected, will improve your outcome:

Strong sales growth.
Higher dividend payouts.

More stock repurchase plans.
Boosting reinvestment in the business.

Improving gross margins.
Orders from new sources.

Take a gander beyond the unfolding earnings reports.
One solid way to revitalize market confidence is with a slew of improving prospects.

Keep your eye on the ball.
The pitch to hit may be coming your way.
